For generations searchers tried and failed to decipher the wily Abbot's clues and find the treasure. Then in 1976, four children hear the legend and decide to hunt for the treasure themselves. They have no idea what perils they will have to face, for Henry's curse puts anyone who searches in grave danger. There are mysterious accidents, terrifying near misses, and freak weather changes. The children must decide: is it worth risking their lives, and the lives of others, to continue their quest? Ages 9+.
