Westbooks is a West Australian owned and operated company. A staff of 22 service public libraries, WA public and private schools and the retail sector.   We are committed to providing the highest standard of service and support to our customers.

Westbooks was established in 1970 as a library supply company in Western Australia and early on developed a retail side specialising in children’s books and educational toys. A move into larger premises provided the space to host book launches, book related activities for children and an annual seminar for teachers and librarians which was a highlight of the children’s books literary year. Since then Westbooks has been taken in new directions as well as maintaining the original concept of engaging children with books and supporting the children’s book community.

Westbooks' owners are passionate about promoting Australian authors and illustrators. Events such as 'A Night With Our Stars', run in conjuction with the Children's Book Council of WA, provide a platform for WA authors and illustrators to showcase their latest publications.

As the only local specialised library supplier with sales consultants who regularly visit your area, we have an understanding of the diversity and needs of your local community. We are able to provide advice, and to source appropriate materials, for your library from a range of publishers in Australia and overseas. From the sourcing and acquisition of back-listed titles to the efficient and timely delivery of shelf ready new releases, Westbooks has the team and capacity to meet all your library needs.
